FALL CROCHET CRAFT INSPIRATION
First on my list is this RUSTIC PUMPKIN GARLAND. It is adorable and would look festive on any banister or mantel and with its simplicity it could be a winner for your next fall inspired craft show.

My next inspiration are these absolutely adorable PUMPKIN COASTERS that couldn't be cuter. These would make any table festive and if you are a craft show seller as well, you can see the potential.

This next pattern, 3 HARVESTED PUMPKINS can be done in any color to match your decor and is beginner friendly, so don't be afraid to jump in and try it out.

For simple ideas this one is great and will go nicely with the pumpkin garland. This is also a great pattern for using up all of that left over yarn you have laying around. Bring the fall indoors with this LEAF GARLAND!

The last pattern on the list is my favorite and will not only be adorable with your fall decor, it will also be useful for your Thanksgiving dinner party. This PUMPKIN PIE HOLDER could be a hit at your next craft show or on your table.

MORE FROM MY INTERVIEW WITH NATHAN KNIGHTES
- What motivated you to start your business?
I have been selling stuff since I was 8 years old. It started out with candy sales at school. Then I got my first candy vending machine and put it where my older brother and friends hung out and each weekend they would sell me out. By age 16 the dvd craze occurred and I started to sell dvd on eBay, that was when people would send you a personal check for payment. It just developed from there.
- What is the first thing that you ever crocheted and do you still have it?
Scarf, no it was donated to a homeless shelter. My grandmother who taught me to make hats, gloves, and scarves for the homeless each year.
- What is your favorite thing to crochet?
Anything that takes less than an hour to make!!! 😂 I do love making plushies!
- What is the strangest custom request that you have ever crocheted?
I'm not sure about a custom request, but one time we were in Macon, GA at a show and someone asked if we had a roadkill plushie? I said what specifically are you looking for? He replied “a Possum or something.” Now because of that request we make several sizes of o'possum.
- Where do you find your inspiration?
I scroll through Etsy, Instagram, my own thoughts, Marissa’s ideas, and last but not least customer requests like the Possum.

- Give new entrepreneurs a tip that will save them time and money.
I can't stress this enough from a Director of Finance (my day job) and as a Small Business Owner, keep track of all your expenses because you will be able to apply those expenses against your revenue when you file taxes at the end of the year. This will save you a lot of money from paying more in tax. I highly recommend the Quickbooks Self Employed version and you can write off that expense as well.
CONCLUSION
Any journey that is worth taking will have some up and downs that are unavoidable, but following the advice from a 35 year veteran of the crochet business is one way to navigate around some of the pitfalls. Starting a small business is like having your first child. No one really knows what to do with their first born so they read all the books and ultimately rely on the advice and information passed down from family and friends who have experienced what they are going through. This is why I think it is important to continue to provide my readers with encouragement from veterans of the crochet industry, so that the road is a little less bumpy than it was for those before you.
Did you know that Nathan is also a Small Business Coach? You can book a session with him and get unlimited advice on how to start or improve your business. This valuable time spent with Nathan could give your business the boost it needs to bring in sales and attract more buyers. Book a session now! CLICK HERE!

I have several plushies and oh my goodness! I have never been happier with a plush. They are so soft and my first one I purchased a year ago and, it’s just as soft as the day i got her. I have three different sizes. A pocket size Freddy Krueger, a Strawberry cow is about 7 inches and my giant scream plush! I use these prop up my head on to my pillow and I especially use them for travel. They make excellent head pillows. Im very happy with these oh and you het fun stickers with your purchase! Buying a plush from LuvinStiches is purchasing a friend for life!
