SarasotaCon & Spoiler Alert

Happy Friday Little Luvin Stitches Friends! Schools are back in session and I am still battling this awful cough and chest congestion. I have to let it run its course and I hope to feel better soon. I still had deadlines to meet so this week was rough. We will be in Sarasota tomorrow at the SarasotaCon. I’m glad that it’s not the entire weekend. I could definitely spend time staring at my pillow. We just created an announcement that will go out as an EMAIL on Monday. Spoiler: This month begins our crochet for charities campaign.

Let me just take a few additional minutes to give you more details on our charities:

The Hats for Holidays project was created in honor of Baby James who was born with a rare chromosomal mutation on January 23, 2019. Baby James passed from this disease in February of the same year. He is survived by his parents James and Maria along with brother Jason and sister Frankie. The hats are used for preemies in the NICU at NYU Langone, and Bellevue. This year the charity is to add a 3rd hospital.

The Bee Companion-The Story-Paul Marshall is a bee-keeper & fosters a business called Marshall Honey Bee Rescue. On May 5th 2023, Paul was rushed to the hospital with a seizure. A brain tumor was found and was diagnosed as Glioblastoma. He went through a 6 hour awake open brain surgery & has been going through chemo and radiation treatment. Throughout his radiation treatment Paul was encouraged by his daughter to find small tools of comfort to cope with the stress that these treatments have. Paul’s nieces created these little crochet bees, which Paul brought with him into every radiation session as a reminder that he is not alone and the Bees are with him through this. These Bees are offered to people of all ages & genders.

Remember that our SPIN IT TO WIN IT winners will be drawn Monday 8/14/23. Pray for Maui!

Let’s get HOOKED!
